Octopus Stuffy!

I had a gorgeous skein of hand-spun and hand-dyed blue yarn that my friend Ann made me, so I decided to knit it up into an octopus stuffy. I started with the bottom (underside) and knit a disk/circle. I didn’t have a pattern, so I just winged it by picking up stitches around the disk and knitting up the eight legs as if the were fingers to gloves (same basic principle). The body of the little cephalopod is essentially the same basic design as a baby sized stocking cap. Easy peasy! The eyes and mouth are just embroidered on top with black yarn.
