Picketing the fence

In addition to working on my own place, I’m a handywoman for hire. This little picket fence was a recent job I did. What’s tough about fences, of course, is that when the ground undulates the fence still has to stay level, so it ends up being various heights off the ground. In this case, the homeowner wanted me to orient the height of the fence with the highest ground, which meant that it’s up off the ground in some places quite a bit. She and her wife are going to get a load of dirt to backfill that part of the yard so that it’s level. It’s a better solution that trying to work from the low point and have to dig out half the yard! (And I heard that they are indeed planning to paint it white.)
